The Program...

 

Our program hours are from 12-6pm Monday through Friday.  On any given day, kids experience any of the following activities: 
  • Check-in Meeting 
  • Wrap-up Meeting 
  • Activity Groups 
  • Agenda Group 
  • Nature's Classroom 
  • Challenge Education 
  • Community Service 
  • Outdoor Activities 

Our programs are designed to meet individual needs, incorporate personal learning styles, and at the same time teaching critical life skills and coping strategies that promote study skills, self-motivation and self-worth.

Each of our daily groups are designed to be an addition to the everyday milieu.  

The groups and programs are:

FOCUS SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM...
  • The Summer Recreation Program is a clinical "socialization immersion" program that utilizes structured activities as well as ordinary daily living situations as tools for learning.

 

  • The program activities include hiking, arts and crafts, animal care, gardening, special guests and weekly themes, noncompetitive sports, field trips and loads of backyard games to help facilitate social and emotional growth

11:00am - 12:30pm                  Lunch and Clean Up

3:30pm - 4:00pm                    Free Time & Pick Up 

4:00pm - 5:00pm (if needed)    Extended Care 



FOCUS SUMMER PROGRAM REGISTRATION INFORMATION

In addition, there is a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for 14 - 16 year olds.  Children must apply and be accepted in advance for the limited number of CIT positions.  CIT's must demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to working with the other campers as a role model.
