FOCUS
Alternative Learning Center
offers an adolescent girls' group that has been running for over 7 years.
The group meets weekly from September through June for 2 hours and
provides an opportunity for the girls to discuss important issues and receive
support. It has proven to be very
popular and enriching for the girls. At the girls' request,
the group focuses on the issues that they identify as concerns.
As space is limited, we are asking that each girl make a commitment to
the group that includes attendance and the desire to take our time together
seriously, as it is not a "social" group but an "agenda"
group as well. The group leaders must
be notified if someone cannot attend a group and the cost of a missed group is
forfeited. If group needs to be
canceled for any reason, a make-up group will be offered at no added cost.
If parents would like to talk with any of the group leaders we are
available from 4-4:30p during check-in. Please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to working with kids and their families to have a successful year. FOCUS Girls' Group For girls ages 12 and older Tuesdays 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Runs through the
